There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. — Romans 8:1

The law of Spirit and life is based on what Jesus the Messiah, our great liberator, did for us. The law of sin and death no longer controls us. Because Jesus rose from the dead, death no longer has power over us. Sin has no power over us because Jesus’ death on the cross paid off our debt to sin. We stand in front of God as his righteous children who are finally free because of what our powerful Lord Jesus Christ has done. In the future, there is no condemnation for us, only glory!
