When the Holy Spirit lives in us, God’s character comes to life in us. The Spirit changes us more and more until we look like Christ (2 Corinthians 3:17-18). This change happens when we put our attention on Jesus and try to get to know him. As people who follow Jesus, this change is the point of our lives (Colossians 1:28-29; Luke 6:40). As we become more and more like Jesus, we show his character, which is made up of these nine qualities.

Prayer

Thank you, dear Father, for giving me your Spirit. I give my will and heart over to the transforming power of your Spirit in my life. Please make me bear fruit that pleases and glorifies you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
