Sometimes the fights in church can be disheartening and make us forget how lucky we are to be part of God’s family. There are many reasons why we should be happy in the Lord. Let’s not forget about them, especially when people around us are being mean and competing. Let’s not forget that our hope is in the crucified Nazarene, who is also our risen Lord and is with us all the time.

Prayer

Father, thank you that knowing Jesus brings me joy. I’m glad that through his death and resurrection, you have saved me. With joy, I look forward to the big party that will happen when he comes back to share your glory with me and everyone else who has been waiting for him to come back. Even when I feel the most hopeless, I thank you for the glimmer of hope and the certainty that I will win that keep my deep and lasting joy of being your child alive. In the name of Jesus, who saved me, In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
