Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: — Psalm 139:23

Most people don’t like being tested and looked at closely. But God knows everything about us. He has been with us since we were born and will continue to work with us even after we die. So let’s let him look around inside us, test us, and even look at our anxious thoughts. He is not there to judge us or punish us. Instead, he is there to forgive us and make us clean so that we can reach his eternal grace.

Prayer

Search me, O God. I know that my heart is not always pure and my actions are far from faultless. Search me, O God, for I need your cleansing presence. Search me, O God, for I want you to establish the direction and the goal of my life. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
