God’s mark on us is the Holy Spirit. The Spirit lives in us, and because he does, we are the temple of God. The Spirit changes us so that we become more like Christ. The Spirit helps us show Christ’s virtues, like love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control, and faithfulness. When we pray, the Spirit speaks for us when we don’t have words. When we worship, the Spirit gives us strength and fills us with joy. We also know that we are God’s children because of the Spirit. He owns us. We have his future, his gifts, and his grace.

Prayer

Dear Father, thank you so much for sending your Holy Spirit to live inside me. Thank you for assuring me of your love, your presence, your power, and your guidance as I try to make decisions and face the challenges of my daily life. Dear Father, as I give my heart and will to the grace and power of your Spirit to change them, please help me become more like you and show your grace more fully today as I do the things I need to do. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
