Looking forward to! Isn’t that a great idea? It sounds like a contradiction. It isn’t. Imagine a groom at a wedding waiting for his bride to walk down the aisle. Think about parents who are about to have a child. Think back to what it was like to be a kid and wait for Christmas morning. looks forward to! That’s what creation, which is so full of decay, disaster, and death, is doing! And what is the world so eagerly waiting for? Our change and the realization that we are God’s victorious and glorious children. Sounds pretty amazing for our time and place.

Prayer

O LORD, you made everything and are the source of all redemption. I long for the day when all my tears will be dry and I will no longer be bound to decay. Please keep my mind on the beauty that will be shown when Christ comes back. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
