We all like second chances or “do-overs.” God can do much more than that! He gives us a chance to start over. He can make us new because he is the “God of new things.” Through Jesus, he does more than forgive and clean us. He makes us holy. Let’s use the New Year as a chance to start living a life that is fresh, new, and alive for God.

Prayer

Thank you, LORD, for a new year and a chance to start over. Please give me the wisdom and strength I need to serve you in this coming year with honesty and loyalty. As I give you myself, my plans, and my future, I pray that your work will be done in my life. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
