Love! We want to remember what love really means during the week of Valentine’s Day. Without love, all “Christian” activities are more “activities” than they are “Christian.” Love is how we show the character and presence of Christ in our lives through the things we do for other people. So don’t get lost in the trip down memory lane that happens every year. Too many of us forget to give each other the love we need every day, which is easy to do in the busyness of day-to-day relationships. Let’s be loving all year long to show that we are following Jesus. (cf. John 13:34 and 35.)

Heavenly Father, I love you so much. Thank you so much for showing your love in Jesus. Help me love like he did—selflessly, sacrificially, and always—so that others can see your love in the way I live my life. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
