Salvation is a very valuable thing. But we know something is very wrong if a child stays in the same stage of growth and development for a long time. When a child’s physical growth stops, this is a very worrying sign. Hebrews 6 reminds us that this is also true in our spiritual lives. God doesn’t want us to stay children! He wants us to keep getting better. Our Father wants us to want good things that make us stronger. So, what will you do today to feed your spiritual hunger and grow closer to the Lord?

Prayer

Thank you, All-Powerful God, for loving me and saving me. I want to grow in your grace so much. Bless me today as I try to form holy habits and fill myself with things that will help me grow spiritually. But, Holy God, I know that I can only really grow if you help me, so I ask you to give me strength through your Spirit as I try to be like you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
