He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. — Isaiah 53:3

Jesus was everything, but for us, he became nothing. But most of the people he came to save on earth didn’t know who he was or accept him. People just thought that he had earned what he got. Most did not repent. But there was something about that story of sacrifice that touched hearts and called God’s lost children home over the years. On the way home, we realize that he is not only a Savior, but also a servant for our salvation.

Prayer

God Most High, your plan to save me blows my mind. I will never understand why you took your precious son and put him through such public shame while he was still alive. But I do know this: you love me forever, and as a thank you for his great sacrifice, I will serve you with all my strength. We appreciate your love. I In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
