He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? — Matthew 16:15

We can’t be saved by any other name under the sun (Acts 4:12). We should say that Jesus is Lord in front of other people, knowing that if we do, he will say the same thing about us to the Father in heaven. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came to save us and rule over us. Even Peter didn’t know all the theological weight behind those words when he called Jesus Christ, but we can make a promise to get to know him and follow him until we do. Jesus asks us to let him be our leader and to take the first step toward getting to know and understand him better.

I think you sent Jesus as your Son to save me, Living God and Holy Father. I want Jesus to be Lord of my life because I believe he is your Son and my Savior. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
