Where does true deliverance come from? No one else. God can save us if we have a deep respect for his holiness and power, if we live in a covenant relationship with him, and if we keep our attention on him. Any other paths to freedom are false and will only lead to trouble in the end. Like a tightrope walker, who doesn’t look at the ground or his surroundings, but at the rope in front of him, so must we look at the Lord. We can only be safe if we keep our eyes on him.

Prayer

Dear Father, you have saved me in so many ways. You, who are so holy and righteous, reached down and took my hand when I was a sinner and didn’t want your love. Show me how you live. Fix the problems in my life. Show me how to follow your truth. I want to be saved not only from my sin, but also from days of being useless and sad. Make me something that will honor you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
