What do people need to hear from me the most right now? A life set to the tune of grace, which is what I say I believe. Peter’s answer to trouble, cynicism, and even persecution is to do good and be like Christ. We are free because of Jesus, but that doesn’t mean we have to act like we are free to prove it. Instead, we can live for the one who died to defeat death and gave up complete freedom in heaven so that we could have it. We are free to help other people, but most of all, we are free to help God.

Prayer

Holy Father, my Great Emancipator, you have set me free from sin, law, and death at the expense of your only Son. I expose my heart to you today to express my love for you. I’d want to thank you for this great gift of redemption. Please take the deeds of my life, the words of my tongue, the ideas of my head, and the feelings of my heart as my thanksgiving today. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
