As Christians, one of the most amazing things we know is that our relationship with the Lord will last for all time. As we look for him, he is always there, and no one can take us away from the love he has for us. We go to “be with the Lord” even after we die. We are still “in the Lord” when we die and go to sleep. When he comes back in power, we’ll go “be with the Lord forever.” Everything we have on earth is temporary, except our love for the Lord Jesus, our praise of God through him, and our friends with whom we share this love and praise.

Prayer
Thank you, Almighty God, for uniting yourself with our world through Jesus and uniting me to you through his rule over my life. I eagerly anticipate the day when everyone, living and dead, will acknowledge the Lord I kneel to worship today as the One True Lord. I swear to live today in his honor, and I know, Father, that in doing so, I honor you as well. In the name of the Christ, my Lord, I laud and give you thanks for the gift of Jesus’s enduring and eternal lordship. Amen. Our brothers and sisters in Iraq and numerous other Middle Eastern and African countries have been forced to make the ultimate sacrifice for their faith today and over the past few weeks. To the very end, they served as servants. A few people have been crucified. Before being killed, some people witnessed the beheading of their children. Their lives on earth have been completely destroyed. Visit Voice of the Martyrs right away to learn more about their situation and to pray about how you can help. I’m grateful. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
