Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could knock down all the barriers that separate us, including those that are ethnic, sociocultural, financial, and sexual identity? In order to tear down the barriers that separated people, Paul worked tirelessly to bring them to Jesus and the cross. At the foot of the cross, there are no superior or inferior roles. There is no place in heaven for those who do not recognize God’s strength through sacrifice or God’s love even when it is wounded by cruel people. It is essential to remember that we can only be one in Jesus, regardless of how the culture and people attempt to divide us.

God, forgive me for allowing bias and mistrust to prevent me from fully appreciating fellowship with those you have referred to as your children. As I strive to love your children as you do, I pray that my life will serve as an example of reconciliation and harmony. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
