O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. — Psalm 95:6

Worship is more than just giving God our heart, soul, and words. It also has to do with how we stand. When we realize how lucky we are to be called God’s children, we can’t help but bow down or kneel before him in his power and greatness. We come to him, a king who has won many battles, and offer ourselves in full submission. God, on the other hand, chooses to be kind to us, like a shepherd who wants to take care of his sheep. Such grace leads us to bow and kneel in heartfelt worship.

Prayer

I come to you as the shepherd of my soul in need of your care and rest as one of your sheep. Life’s demands and temptations frequently leave me stressed out and motivated. To be used for your glory, however, not just today but for the rest of my life, is what I come to you submitting to. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
