Yes, there are people who use God’s people and money for their own gain. This is sad because many of God’s servants who spread the Word around the world do so with little money or support. God has never said that ministers of the Word will be rich, but he does tell us how important it is to take care of them. Let’s use this week to help people who tell us about God’s word. Let’s also remember that “all good things” means much more than money when it comes to sharing. Let’s say prayers for our missionaries, ministers, and teachers. Let’s promise to send them specific notes of encouragement on a regular basis so that their ministry will be a blessing not only to us and the Lord, but to them as well.

Prayer
You sent the Living Word, Holy God, so that I might know you. I’m grateful to the people who have shared your Word with me. Bless those who have shared your truth and grace with me, including the pastor-teachers, Bible teachers, and Word ministers. Keep them away from sin and discouragement. bolster their resolve. Bless their loved ones. Infuse them with your strength and spirit. And, dear Father, kindly use me to let them know how important they are to both you and me. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
