What a lovely prayer for Christians! In a world that is so self-centered, is it not refreshing to be reminded of the immense influence we can have for good or evil? Not only should we remember the devastating effects of our hypocrisy and rebellion, but we should also pray that our failures will not be destructive to the expansion of the Kingdom or to our Christian brothers and sisters as they seek to serve and glorify the Lord!

Prayer

I do not wish to sin, O merciful and powerful God. I am aware that it is a form of rebellion against you and that it breaks your heart. I do not wish to sin because I am aware that doing so makes me more susceptible to Satan’s attacks in the future. I do not wish to sin and dishonor your cause, O God. And Father, I do not desire to sin and cause those who seek you to stumble. Please forgive my sins, but please, Father, strengthen me and assist me in resisting temptation. In the name of Jesus Christ, who overcame temptation and sin, I pray. Amen.
