It’s not a huge deal, That is the groan of a believer justifying crude, offensive, or harmful language. However, a long-time buddy recently admitted to me, “We started to lose our morale at work when we started using inappropriate language. At the time, it didn’t seem like a huge concern, but what it resulted in was devastating.” Religion that does not appear in common discourse is meaningless and hollow. So let’s avoid cursing, slandering, or gossip and instead use our words to bless and encourage.

Prayer

Please pardon me, holy and unapproachable God, for not utilizing my speech for your glory. Please pardon me for the times I have used words to hurt someone else or in ways that are disrespectful to you and your sacred claim on my life. Today, use my words to bless, inspire, and comfort people so they can experience your grace through me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
