Paul only makes this pledge to the Philippians after emphasizing to them that he had found the Lord’s grace to be adequate in both easy and difficult circumstances, in times of abundance and in times of scarcity. In addition to God’s assistance, our faith in him to meet our greatest needs via Christ Jesus is the secret to this promise. When our hearts yearn to be satisfied by him, to please him, to be blessed by his presence, to get the certainty of life after death, we can be sure that he will provide what we really need!

O God, grant me the sight to notice all the amazing ways you are providing for me and kindly managing the riches you have so generously poured into my life. I’ll admit that I have short and narrow vision. I’d like to have a bird’s-eye view of your generosity. However, the “small” portion of your benefits that I can see is rich, kind, and satisfying. I am aware that you have benefited me in numerous other ways that I am unable to notice. I appreciate your kindness, thank you! the name of Jesus! Amen.
