We should immediately acknowledge how evil we have been and how unfit we are to be in the same room as the King of Glory when we meet him. Knowing God, being in his presence, or comprehending how holy he is causes one to feel terrified and humiliated. It becomes our life’s job to honor God’s name, his sanctity, his grandeur, and our need to revere him.

I apologize for not taking your sanctity and dignity seriously, All-Mighty God. Forgive me for using your sacred name in ways that are not worthy of your praise and glory. Please pardon me for not appreciating the numerous names you employed to demonstrate your greatness in the Bible. Since I am a sinner and am aware that I am not flawless and have made errors, kindly pardon me. Because your purity is too clean for me to endure without your mercy, kindly pardon me.
