Can you believe what you can’t see? Of course! How can you answer that? Things like gravity and the air we breathe, to name just two, are important to our lives but we can’t see them. Believing in Jesus is just as natural as believing in any of these other things. The problem is that our feelings don’t trust each other. It’s hard for us to believe that anyone in heaven could love us so much. From what we’ve seen, “If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.” That doubt is just a twisted version of what God really wants to hear from us: “indescribable and magnificent delight.” Not sure about you, but I’ve tried both of them. I choose happiness over doubt!

Prayer
What joy fills my heart, Father, when I think about what it will be like to be in your presence and have you wipe away every tear, reunite me with people I love, and introduce me to people I’ve only heard about. No matter what else happens in my life here, please don’t let me lose that sense of hope or let it fade in my heart. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
