Are we really winners despite “trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword”? Yes! That is the best assurance a Christian can have. We can’t be separated from God’s love in Christ by anything. The Evil One and those who help him can kill us, ruin our money, make us hurt, and try to break up our relationships. The Evil One can’t get our hearts, though, if we give them to Jesus. And our future belongs to Jesus when our hearts do. Jesus’ empty tomb shows us that our future with him will be glorious, full of victories, and never end.

Prayer
Give me the ability to see and the faith to believe that Jesus’ victory over death is also my victory. I don’t want the hard things in life to make me lose hope, faith, and love. Instead, I want to be a living example of your strength, grace, and victory. I live and pray in the name of Jesus and for his glory. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
