For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. — 2 Corinthians 5:21

When was the last time you thought of yourself as “God’s righteousness”? What does it all mean? It means we have the best qualities that can be found in the best beings. Even though we were made in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-27), we know that we are not exactly like God. We know that we make mistakes and have flaws. God is good in everything. We are aware of our flaws and inconsistencies! When it comes to God, there are no flaws. So, how can we be “God’s rightness”? Jesus, who was God’s perfect and sinless Righteous One, took our sin on himself so that we could be his righteousness. That’s more than just grace; it’s a miracle! And that is exactly what you are, dear friend of Jesus!

Prayer

Thank you, kind and loving Father, for giving your Son as a sacrifice to save me and make me perfect. Please use me to tell someone around me about your grace and salvation who hasn’t accepted it yet. In the name of Jesus, my big brother and the one who saved me. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
