As we get closer to the Lord and live for him, we get two amazing gifts. First, we find that Jesus’ loving sacrifice has forgiven us and washed us clean of our sins. Second, we see that we’re not the only ones going through this great cleansing. When people who are looking for the Lord run into each other in his presence, they build real friendships. This friendship isn’t forced or made up; it’s just heavenly.

Prayer

God, you are all-powerful and holy. I want to honor Jesus’ death on the cross by living a pure, honorable, and holy life. Thank you for making me clean with Jesus’ blood and showing me other people who live for you. Please make me want to learn more about you, your Son, and other Christians. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
