Christians are forgiven, not perfect! You may have seen this bumper sticker or one like it. In a certain way, this is true. But from God’s perspective, Christians ARE perfect. Paul tells the Colossians this amazing message. Because of what Jesus did for us, God doesn’t see our flaws. He sees us through the perfection of Jesus Christ. Take a look at these ideas and be amazed! Think about how God sees you and be thankful. God’s grace to us in Jesus should make you feel small and happy. There’s nothing left to say but “Hallelujah!” because Jesus is holy, has no flaws, and can’t be blamed for anything.

Prayer

Father, thank you for the sacrifice that cleans me up. Thank you for seeing how valuable I am because of how perfect Jesus was and what he did for me. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for paying my sin debt and letting me share in your perfection. May today and every day bring my life closer to the perfection you have given me through your grace. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
