And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies. — Hosea 2:19

God wanted Israel to always be true to him. Even though his people had been unfaithful in the past, God forgave them and gave them hope that they could be brought back into relationship with him. If God was willing to pay such a huge price to do this, shouldn’t we do the same for each other? But let’s take it a step further. Let’s start by being faithful to each other and to God.

Prayer

Dear God of compassion, Heavenly Father, please make my heart more forgiving and sensitive. Also, dear Father, please give me a faithful heart that won’t break the promises I’ve made to you and other people. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
