I love Daniel 3’s story about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. No matter if God saves them from the fire or not, their faith is strong. Not only does God save them, but the people who were going to kill them become the most important witnesses of their faith and God’s miraculous rescue. They are not only children of the One True God, but they are also examples for all of us who are tempted to give up our faith to fit in with a society that no longer respects the Almighty God.

Prayer

Please, Heavenly Father, give me the same faith that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had. When trouble, persecution, ridicule, and social exclusion come, I want my faith to be strong. Thank you, dear Father, for giving me the Bible, which is my book of heroes who stood their ground and kept their faith, even when they were in danger. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
