For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; — 1 Timothy 2:5

No matter how strong, revered, or significant they may be, we don’t need anyone else to speak to God on our behalf. We are free to go wherever we please as his children because we are confident that God has provided the ideal channel for communication. Only that mediator represents us before God as the head of the Church and the Chief Priest. Our Lord, Savior, and brother is Jesus Christ.

Prayer

You are my God, and I thank you for giving me such easy access to you. I am aware that if it were up to me, I wouldn’t have the courage or righteousness to approach you. But because of your grace, you also provided a mediator for my approach to you in addition to a ransom for my sin. Jesus, I also appreciate what you did in paying the price and remaining by the Father’s side to speak and intercede on my behalf. We are grateful to Jesus for bringing this prayer before the Father. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
