Do you have something to be proud of? What gives you that sense of pride? Paul reminds us that the only thing we can really boast about is what the Lord did for us on the cross. This one thing we like to brag about has nothing to do with what we have done, achieved, or done for ourselves. When compared to sharing in Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, all other reasons to brag are fleeting glimpses of empty fame.

Prayer

Father, please forgive me for the times I’ve thought I was important because of something temporary. Thank you for giving me a strong reason to talk about how the Cross shows Jesus’ love and grace. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
