For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: — Romans 8:3

God gives us two gifts that meet the righteous requirements of the Law but that the Law could never give us on its own. First, he gives us his Son Jesus, who is the perfect sacrifice for sin, to forgive, cleanse, and buy us back from our sin. Second, he gives us his Spirit to help us become what he wants us to be. God gives us what the Law and the Prophets said would happen in the New Covenant. God’s plan, promises, and gifts are all wonderful.
