When we were baptized into Christ, we took part in his death on the cross and were reborn as new people. We have Christ living in us. The real challenge is for us to live like Christ in our world. Our motivation? Not to earn salvation, which has already been given to us by God’s grace, but to honor him who gave up everything to save us. (See Romans 6:1-14)

Prayer

I’m grateful to God for his love and for sending Jesus to atone for my sin. I promise you today that I will live by faith in your Son, who gave his life so that I might live forever in your presence. I pray that your Spirit will enable others to see Jesus’s life in me. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
