All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: — 2 Timothy 3:16

God wants us to be ready to help other people. We are lucky that he gave us the Bible. We can now read the Bible in a wide range of languages, dialects, and versions. This is a great blessing, not a threat. But we must remember that the purpose of the Bible is not for us to learn it, but for us to live it. God meant for his Word to be full of useful information. It is a gift that makes us ready to do every good thing.

Prayer

Holy God, it still blows my mind that you chose to talk to us, your limited beings, in our own language. May I never forget what a wonderful gift it is to be able to read your Word and learn your Truth. But, Father, please give me the courage and character to put it into practice and train me to do your will. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
