At first glance, Satan seems to win the battle at the Cross, but after three days, everything changes. Jesus’ victory over death leaves Satan with only a “bruised heel,” but he can’t use death as the last word anymore. The Evil One’s best plans and most powerful force are shattered at the entrance to Jesus’ empty tomb.

Thank you, dear Father, for making death less scary and giving me hope for the future. I don’t just believe that Jesus rose from the dead; I also believe that you will bring me back to life and give me eternal life in your presence. For this victory that will last, In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
