Jesus came into the world the way most babies do: his mother gave birth to him, he was wrapped in soft cloth, and he was put in a crib. Only this baby was the Son of God. His crib was a place where animals ate corn, not a place where babies sleep. His room was a stable because he didn’t have any other place to live. Not only was it normal, but it was also common and even below average for his birth. Can you imagine? The Holy God who made everything comes to our world as a baby to live as one of us and share our way of life. Why? He wants us to come home to him because he loves us. Incredible! What an amazing story. A lot of love. God is so amazing!

Prayer

How can I show you, LORD God Almighty, how much the gift of your Son means to me? I can’t believe how much you love me. It makes me happy and makes me wonder. Please know that I love and praise you and your Son. Thank you, loving Father, for your gift that can’t be put into words. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
