Every day should start with God. Every time we take a breath, we should be reminded that God has given us another day to serve him. Every heartbeat is a drumbeat of love from God, reminding us that we have another minute to give him our best. It’s so easy to forget about this blessing. When we teach, show, and live these truths with and in front of our children, we are more likely to remember them. But let’s not expect them to learn these things just by watching us. Let’s look for opportunities to talk about our faith, praise our Heavenly Father, and share God’s truth.

Thank you, Almighty God, Gracious Provider, and Undeserved Friend! Thank you for the air I breathe and the beat of my heart, which keeps me alive. Make me aware that you are there when I travel, talk, rest, and work, and that you deserve my best. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
