Even though fasting isn’t something that many churches do anymore, it was clear that it was a part of the early church. We should pray and fast before big events, whether they are organized by our churches or not. We should ask God for his guidance, power, and direction as we join him in his work in the world.

I know you love everyone, Lord. Please bless those who are in different cultures than their own and are trying to share your Gospel in a loving way with people who don’t know you. Bless their efforts, keep them safe from the bad guy, and lead them in the right direction. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
