I’m not sure. I have no idea! That must be one of the most difficult phrases for us to say. But that’s really all we can say about God and the way he does things. Only what God has chosen to show us about himself is what we know about him. He is the biggest mystery of them all. He is the best unknown that can be known. What we do know about him, which he has shown us through Jesus, is that he is not only powerful and awesome, but also kind and forgiving.

Prayer

I can only offer my wonder and awe to you, Lord God. I am humbled by your wonderfully complex and expansive sovereignty when I consider the size of the universe in which our tiny blue planet spins its existence. I value your proximity, Abba Father, but at the same time. You are the God who transcends space and time, the Good that is Far Above All I Know, as Well As the Good My Father Who Is Always Near. We appreciate your being reachable but impenetrable and available but uncontrollable. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
