Praise must not just come from our lips. We must praise God from the bottom of our hearts because of all the good things he has done for us. God deserves praise for being holy, majestic, and powerful, but we have even better reasons to praise him. He has treated us with such kindness.

Prayer

Holy and kind Father, I thank you for making the world. I praise you for your love because you gave us the choice to accept you or not. I thank you that you chose Abraham to be the first person to believe and to be the leader of the people through whom Jesus would come. I thank you that you sent Jesus. I thank you for the sacrifice you made for my sins. I thank you that you brought him back from the dead and won over sin and death. I thank you for the people who told me about the Gospel of your grace. I thank you for what you are doing in and through me. I praise you for what you are about to do, but I don’t know what it is. I praise you because you are the Almighty God who has chosen to be my Abba Father. I praise you in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen.
