God does not just tell us in the Bible that he loves us. It instead says: “God showed his love…” “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that God loved us and gave…” Because God cared so much about the world, he gave…” Love is more than feelings or goals. Love that is like God’s love, love that saves, is active; it does something. Jesus did more than just something for us. He gave up everything. Plus, he did it when we needed it the most. He showed us how much he loved us even when we were bad.

Prayer

Father, I’m glad you love me. I love you. Because of what you’ve done, I love you. I love you just for being you. I love you for your promises. I love you for always being there for me. I love you the most, dear Father, because Jesus showed me how much you love me. Please help me serve and give to others as Jesus did to show how much I love them. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
