We belong to the LORD, the Creator of all things and the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (1 Peter 2:9-10). We are blessed by God’s favor and his affection for Israel’s forefathers. We have nothing to fear since God controls our future, just as he did throughout the history of his chosen people to send the Messiah. He will be with us during our severe difficulties. He will see to it that we are redeemed. Why? Because we are his property. We are all his. He’s familiar with us. He shaped us. God’s people are his permanent possession. We are the Almighty God’s offspring!

Almighty and Sovereign LORD — God of our ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob — I applaud you for your fidelity to your promises. I applaud you for your redeeming effort across many generations. I truly appreciate you sending your Son and our Messiah to redeem us. I applaud you for prompting the Scriptures to teach me your truth. Please know my sincere thanks for the blessing of belonging to you and knowing that I can trust my future with you. Please bless your people with a wonderful feeling of your enduring presence and use us to bring you glory. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
