This call to action comes from the time when God’s Temple was in Jerusalem. Let’s also remember that God’s Temple for us, the people of the New Covenant, is the church (1 Corinthians 3:16) and our own bodies (1 Cor. 6:19). Let’s treat our church family with care and joy. Let’s also use our bodies to honor God. Let’s thank God and praise his name in public, in private, and with our neighbors.

Prayer
Father, I come to you in the most holy place because of what Jesus did on the cross. I’m happy to know that you listen. I’m thrilled to hear that you welcome me. I’m glad to be with you and tell you how much I value everything you’ve done for me. Thank you for coming to pray with me here until I can come home and see you in person. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
