When we decided to follow Christ, he gave us the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38; Titus 3:3-7). The Spirit lives in us and makes our bodies a Temple (1 Cor. 6:19–20). This gives us many blessings (Romans 8). Because the Spirit is with us, we can be brave even when people attack, criticize, or make fun of us. The fruit that the Spirit gives us (Gal. 5:22–23) and the love that the Spirit pours into our hearts (Rom. Instead, the Spirit’s presence is a powerful force that helps us overcome sin (Rom. 8:13) and live self-disciplined lives.

Father, I’m grateful that the Spirit is always with me. Please give me even more courage and strength to face the challenges I face every day. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
