Paul tells us that we were baptized with more than just water. Through baptism, we took part in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. We now have a part in what he did to save us. We die to sin and are resurrected by the Holy Spirit as a new person who is clean and holy. Sin no longer has power over us or makes us pay for it.

Prayer

Father, thank you that Jesus has given me a new life. I’m very grateful that your grace covers my mistakes. I ask for the ability to live a sinless life. Forgive me for the times I was average and almost did bad things. Give me a strong dislike for anything that would make my soul dirty or pull my heart away from what you want. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
