If you had known Jesus’ address in Nazareth around the year 20 A.D., you could have gone there and said, “This is where God lives!” Even though it’s hard to fully understand, grace is based on the fact that Jesus was both fully God and fully man. He was fully God, but he gave up all of his divine privileges (Phil. 2:5-7). Because we couldn’t be like him, God chose to be like us. We couldn’t get up to God, so he came down to us. God’s fullness came to us in Jesus so that we could be complete in him.

Prayer
Almighty God, I know that I can’t understand how great you are. Even though you are amazing, powerful, and majestic, you are bigger than my mind can understand. And I am amazed by your grace, O God. I’m glad you sent Jesus so I can know you. Thank you for sending Jesus so that I could be forgiven. Thank you for sending Jesus so that I can go home to you and live forever. Thank you, Jesus, for coming to save me and then going back to the Father so I can talk to him through you. I pray with confidence to our Father in your name, Jesus, and because of your grace. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
