The Church and the life of a Christian can only be built on one thing. This is based on Jesus Christ (cf. 1 Peter 2:4-7; Ephesians 2:20). He’s the one God sent to rescue us (John 3:16). He is the only way to God. He is the “way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). The name “Lord Jesus Christ” is the name that everyone will bow down to (Philippians 2:5-11). His name is the only way for us to be saved (Acts 4:12). Let’s make a point of honoring Jesus as Lord with our hearts, words, and actions today.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, your name is better than every other name ever made. Your glory goes back before the world was made and will last long after every sun has gone out. Your selfless love, which saved me, is great and can’t be compared to anything else. Please accept my love and praise from the bottom of my heart. All glory, majesty, power, and grace belong to you because of what you did to save me and what you will do one day to bring me back to you. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
