Jesus gave up his place in heaven and became a servant. He did this so that the last would be first, the servant would be the most important person, and the least important person would be the most important. Since the beginning of time, it’s been easy for the proud, abusive, and powerful to ignore Christ’s call. After all, Jesus died for the sinful and weak, and they’re “important” and don’t need a Savior. But Jesus is a Savior, a Conqueror, a King, and a Friend for those who are humble. The Lord loves people like this and is happy to give them his salvation.

Prayer

Thank you for your selfless service and for demonstrating to us that we are capable of reigning alongside the Almighty King, Precious Servant. I eagerly anticipate the day when all knees will bow before you as my Lord, joining mine. Until then, I ask that you would use me to bless those who are so frequently ignored by our hectic and glamour-obsessed world. Glory and honor to our God for sending you, Jesus, my Lord. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
