Jesus gave up his place in heaven and became a servant. He did this so that the last would be first, the servant would be the most important person, and the least important person would be the most important. Since the beginning of time, it’s been easy for the proud, abusive, and powerful to ignore Christ’s call. After all, Jesus died for the sinful and weak, and they’re “important” and don’t need a Savior. But Jesus is a Savior, a Conqueror, a King, and a Friend for those who are humble. The Lord loves people like this and is happy to give them his salvation.

Prayer

Thank you, Precious Servant and All-Powerful King, for serving us at a great cost and showing us that we can rule with you. I can’t wait for the day when every knee will bend with mine as I worship you as my Lord. Until then, I pray that you will use me to bless the people that our busy, glamour-obsessed world often forgets. God gets all the praise and glory for sending you, Jesus, my Lord. In the name of Jesus, I give thanks. Amen.
