Power! We love to be in charge. We love the way power looks and sounds. We love having power because it lets us change things. But the most power that has ever been shown on earth was when the Almighty God held back his strength and anger while his Son was being persecuted and killed. So that he could save us, he did it. Now that’s a great show of strength, and it was done just for us. Plus, we know that Jesus’ death on the cross was not the end. Instead, it was the beginning of his glorious and victorious resurrection.

Prayer

Holy and Majestic God in the sky, I praise you for having so much power and strength. But I also want to thank you for your love, which helps that power come out. Thank you for being aware that I would be nothing but dust without your Spirit. Thank you for saving me by not using your mighty power so that your sacrificial power could forgive me. In Jesus’ precious name I pray. Amen.
