In a world where people who are greedy, murder, steal, rape, or mug people and get away with it, God is the ultimate guarantee that justice will be done and the bad guys will not win. Those who love and serve Jesus look forward to his return with joy, but those who are bad and evil will learn what a terrible thing it is to end up in God’s hands.

Prayer

My Heavenly Father, I feel both disturbed and reassured. I know that you will exact retribution on those who have brutally abused vulnerable, defenseless, handicapped, or mentally ill people. It makes me hurt to see someone lost. It makes me much more angry when malicious individuals harm decent, honorable, and morally upright people. Please give me the courage to stand between him and the victims of evil in my world because of his benevolence and achievements in overcoming sin and death. In Jesus’s precious name I pray. Amen.
